Still waiting for that holiday card from your utility company? Well, don't keep the lights on til it comes (though they want you to!!).
Who came up with idea of over-decorating your house so the space station could see it? Makes as much sense and has as much to do with the holiday as taking out a 2nd mortgage for your gift giving. Oh, wait....you can't do that any more!!!!
In this time of prudence, we are foresaking filling the coffers of the utility companies and keeping the lights warm and snug in their storage containers (made of plastic, courtesy of your friendly neighborhood petro-chemical company (oil!)).
It always bring a smile seeing so many of the faithful killing trees to celebrate someone's birth. Oh, the irony!
Anyway, I'm on my way to blow out my oil lamps (whale oil, brought to you by those thoughtful Japanese whalers determined to wipe Willy off the face of the earth...sashimi anyone?!).
